Atlanta Hong Kong Dragon Boat Festival
The 13th Annual Hong Kong Dragon Boat Festival will take place on Saturday, September 13, 2008 at the Lake Lanier Olympic Venue, site of the '96 Summer Olympic Canoe, Kayak, & Rowing Events.

The Hong Kong Information Center in Atlanta conducted the Twelfth Annual Hong Kong Dragon Boat Festival in Atlanta on Saturday, September 8, 2007. The Festival took place at Lake Lanier on the same venue that hosted the 1996 Summer Olympic Games Rowing and Paddling events. The race has grown from a handful of teams and a few spectators to an event which is one of the hallmark diversity events in the metro Atlanta area. The event now boasts a field of close to 50 teams with over 5,000 spectators and a wide variety of Chinese artisans either performing or displaying their wares.

Hong Kong Commissioner Alabama Visit
Hong Kong Commissioner, Miss Margaret Fong, will call on Governor Riley in Montgomery, Alabama on Wednesday, September 24, 2008. While the exact itinerary is still being worked out, she will make luncheon presentations in both Montgomery (Wednesday, September 24th) and Birmingham, Alabama (tentatively set for Tuesday, September 23rd).
